Hyca Heat is a spin-off of Forschungszentrum Jülich. We engineer hybrid process heat that frees industrial plants from dependence on a single energy source.
The vision behind Hyca Heat.
Our goal is simple: no factory should have to bet on a single energy price again.
Heat keeps industry running. And almost always it depends on a single energy source. Anyone buying a burner today bets on one price for twenty years.
The idea comes from Simon Hahn, Dr.‑Ing. in chemical and biological engineering. He has been researching and developing heat without a flame since 2020, at first with hydrogen only. At Forschungszentrum Jülich came the decisive thought: industry doesn't need the next fuel, it needs the freedom to switch between power, gas and hydrogen. Hour by hour, depending on what is cheaper.
In 2026 Simon Hahn, Richard Büssow and Henning Hatje founded Hyca Heat GmbH. Now we are taking the technology from the pilot plant into the factory.
